Who can Apply?
- Indian citizens.
- Students belonging to OBC, EBC (Economically Backward Class), or DNT (De-notified, Nomadic & Semi-Nomadic Tribes).
- Studying in Classes 9–12 in eligible government, government-aided, or recognized private schools under the PM YASASVI scheme.
- Annual family income should not exceed ₹2.5 lakh.
- Selection is based on merit (previous year’s academic performance) and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
Application Deadline
31 August 2026 (as per the National Scholarship Portal schedule for the school scheme). Some PM YASASVI college-related schemes have different deadlines, so applicants should verify the applicable scheme on the NSP before applying
Scholarship Amount
- Class 9 & 10: Up to ₹75,000 per year
- Class 11 & 12: Up to ₹1,25,000 per year
The scholarship covers tuition fees, hostel fees (where applicable), and other approved academic expenses.

- Aadhaar Card
- OTR (One-Time Registration) ID on NSP
- Recent passport-size photograph
- Caste Certificate (OBC/EBC/DNT)
- Income Certificate
- Previous year’s mark sheet
- Bonafide/Admission Certificate from the school
- Aadhaar-linked bank account details
- Any other documents required by the institution or NSP portal.
How to Apply?
- Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) on the National Scholarship Portal.
- Log in using your OTR ID.
- Select the PM YASASVI scholarship scheme.
- Fill in the online application form with personal, academic, and income details.
- Upload the required documents.
- Review the application and submit it.
- Save the Application ID for future reference and status tracking.
